A culinary experience! Excellent meat and excellent service. Absolutely recommendable! Small minus point: a bit noisy ? But we'll be back and test the rest of the card!

Absolutely great breakfast and extremely attentive service. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Very good orange juice and a tasty and filling meal. I can only recommend it. Tip: brocaded egg!

Location, for structural reasons, a narrow tube, with increasing darkening, becoming more and more comfortable. Promising menu. But we are only at the beginning. What was served to us was aesthetically prepared, tasty, and the meat was very tender. Delicious. It happened very quickly. Recommendable. Also interesting tasting drinks. Accordingly, the prices are in a healthy proportion. Service was friendly and more than adequate on site. They are young women and men with a more casual than skillful craft of serving. Good food served with a smile doesn't need a waiter. Dessert (Hüftgold) is worth the sin. We are looking forward to the brunch soon and will also add. Maybe five stars after all? 10/11/2020 ... but 5 stars. Despite the arranged table division, max. 5 people per table, due to Corona, our practice anniversary with 8 people still succeeded. Our brunch began at 12 noon, with all variations, over salmon and pancakes, and everyone liked it. Highly recommended !!! After long drinks, prosecco, cappuccino, tea and freshly squeezed O-juices, we devoted ourselves to dessert. Pancake was good, but tiramisu was absolutely awesome. After all the sweets we had to eat something warm at 6.30 p.m. Luckily. The chicken breast strip salad was very tender, flavorful and nicely cooked. A successful conclusion. Recommendable. Now we have to tackle the map in the direction of beef. 25.10.2020 ... Another brunch from 12 p.m. to be able to access the entire menu at the same time. Again the breakfast was very recommendable. But now finally beef fillet. Meat was delicious. Medium plus was skilfully implemented. So not just a good cafe & bar, but a good restaurant. It is fully true here.

Amazing brunch experience, lovely staff

Finally a shop with very attentive and dedicated waiters! You can also eat very well there, I've been there twice and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

I like coming here and am very satisfied with the selection and quality of the dishes. The service is mostly friendly, but I've also had to deal with irritated-looking staff (but good staff is always difficult to find). In general, the Balthasar is one of my favorite restaurants when I'm in the Belgian Quarter. The really long opening times are also great!

In the Balthasar you can also work well with a laptop. The drinks are great and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, the mood is often very hectic and seems rushed.

One of the best places to have dinner on this very crowded area on Aachener Straße. The service is very friendly, the foodprices are a bit higher, compared to nearby other places, though this is more than fair for the quality you get - the Wiener Schnitzel was really great! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a casual dinner, and/or some wine with friends and will come back for sure. If you come early, you do not need a reservation.

Really great restaurant. Reservations can also be made here for larger groups. We were there with 6 people and unfortunately one after the other came of course. Despite the full load, the staff didn't cause any stress. The ambience is very nice. Super friendly staff, which you can tell that the job is fun. The food is really very good and there is really something for everyone on the menu. And for night owls, breakfast is served here until 4 p.m. Only the drinks sometimes take a long time to reach the table. But that is understandable when the house is full. All in all, I can absolutely recommend Café Balthasar.

Friendly, attentive service and a very tasty breakfast menu (until 4 p.m.!). The eggs benedict were excellent. Stylishly furnished in the interior and a nice outdoor area on the lively Aachener Straße. We would love to come back.

Today I was very horrified by the unfriendliness of one of the waitresses, so that I really will never enter the shop again, although we often dine there and have a very well-known restaurant nearby! The lady with dark hair with glasses is mostly there, and despite so many free tables, sat us at a larger high table for two. I had my dog ​​(1.5 kg so really very small) AS ALWAYS in its well-sealed, spacious bag. She immediately told me to put the dog on the floor, which I couldn't understand. She said it as if it were an object! The floor was at least 1 meter from the bench and I should just put a little puppy there ????? Her statement was: because his hair could fly around. My dog ​​is a short haired Chihuahua who cannot lose hair. He slept very quietly in his pocket next to me, touching neither the bank nor anything else. He couldn't disturb anyone either, everyone there Tables were separated by a plexiglass with a large distance to the other guests. In the end, she was even more cheeky when I said it was never a problem there. I even got a lot of photos when we were there and he was in his bag, which was completely okay. I could have understood if this was the rule in this place, but we went there regularly and it was never a problem before. We will never enter the restaurant again and we will not recommend it to anyone! Very disappointed !

Super delicious breakfast in great surroundings. Definitely a bit more expensive, but adequate for the quality. Unfortunately a tea was forgotten and then a pot instead of a cup was charged. But shouldn't put anyone off and is worth a visit.

Not recommendable! Cheeky, arrogant staff! I reserved a table with a friend for 8:00 p.m. When we arrived, we were told that the reservation was made half an hour earlier and we were therefore unable to get a table. Finally we got a table inside, ordered wine and dessert and the staff was very friendly at the time. The ambience was also very pleasant, but after an hour the restaurant was suddenly empty. When we paid and wanted to leave, a man from the staff came up to us to point out that if we don't order anything to eat, we can't make reservations. So dessert probably doesn't count as food and why not reserve when the stall is empty? We also left a lot of money there. Very unnecessary and absolutely disrespectful!

Pancakes were rubbery, omlette was strangely seasoned (sugar instead of salt and pepper) and the scrambled eggs were not seasoned at all. Not as good as the hype around the place.

Try Buddha Bowl - great! for sure enough for just one Buddha. Service outstanding - our waitress was the most beautiful, but, dont know here name. You left anything? offer to fellows around. Hare Rama!

Very nice restaurant near the Rudolfplatz in Cologne. Was there for breakfast with five people. We had reserved the table, which I can only recommend in the onslaught on the Loka. The wait staff were very friendly, the ink well selected and the main thing that breakfast was delicious and more than adequate in the set. From cereal to breakfast with the name of the house, not just a taste. The eye could keep up. Only the street noise, which can be heard very clearly, diminished the enjoyment of something. The four stars tend to the fifth star and there is a clear recommendation. The pictures show the norwegian breakfast and the breakfast "Balthasar". So always go. ???

Very good restaurant to have breakfast in small or larger company. The service staff was attentive and friendly. There was hardly any time between order and arrival of the food. All dishes were homemade, extremely delicious and lovingly prepared. The portion sizes were well sized and the price is reasonable. On the plus side, the french toast and the pancake were not too sweet, but pleasantly neutral, which made it possible to individually sweeten the maple syrup. Summarizing the Balthasar is a very good address for a great breakfast.

The place is really cosy. Sunday morning is busy, but still managed to get a seat within 10mins. The salmon is surprisely tasty. Portion is quite large for one person.
